Ahead of the 2024 Local Government Election in Rivers State, Chief Obarilomate Ollor the Executive Chairman of Eleme LGA has received the endorsement of Odido Youth Council to return for a second term in office.
Comr. Atonsemi Ojinga the President of the Youth Body who spoke on behalf of the youths of the four clans of Odido (Ebubu, Onne, Eteo and Ekporo) at the event organized for the sole aim of declaring support for Chief Ollor, noted that the Eleme LGA Chairman has demonstrated a great passion for the betterment of his subjects and a strong determination to make Eleme great again.
"Today, I have the distinct honour of endorsing a candidate for an important position. This is someone who has demonstrated exceptional leadership qualities, dedication, and a deep commitment to making a positive change in our Local Government Area. I have had the privilege of working closely with him and have witnessed firsthand his unwavering passion and determination to make Eleme great again" Comr. Ojinga asserted.
Speaking further, Comr. Ojinga maintained that in this first term of the Ollor led administration, "we have witnessed robust leadership centered around youth empowerment, bursary payment, security of lives and properties, provision of electricity and human capacity development" amongst a host of other intangible people centered projects.
According to the leader of the second apex youth body in Eleme, Chief Ollor "has also demonstrated strong character traits such as integrity, empathy, and resilience. He is not afraid to address the important issues that affect our Local Government Area head-on. Therefore I on behalf of all the youths of Odido extraction wholeheartedly endorse this candidate and encourage each and every one of you to support his candidacy. Together, we can sow the seeds of change and build a brighter future for our generation and the ones to come" he maintained.
In his response, the Executive Chairman of Eleme LGA Chief Hon. Obarilomate Ollor expressed his readiness to serve the people of Eleme at any level while urging the youths to stay resilient and unperturbed, noting that when the stage is set and the electioneering timetable rolled out, he will do the needful.
Chief Ollor lauded the immediate past administration of Chief Barr. Ezenwo Nyesom Wike for his numerous projects in Eleme LGA during his administration and also thanked him for the choice of Sir Siminalayi Fubura as his successor.
Chief Ollor tasked the youths to confidently throw their support behind Sir Siminalayi Fubara’s administration for the next eight years for the collective development of Rivers state and Eleme LGA by extension.
